Low-calorie fish suitable for diet. Low-fat varieties of fish: which product to use for weight loss Meat diet basics

The value of fish is due to the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids.

In addition, fish is rich in such macro- and microelements necessary for health as iodine and phosphorus, fat-soluble vitamins D, E and A. The fatter the fish, the more Omega-3 polyunsaturated acids, respectively.

But even low-fat varieties are useful when eaten. Therefore, fish dishes must be included in the diet menu.

Types of fish according to their fat content

  1. Fat varieties- fat content in the composition of 8% or more. These include: halibut, mackerel, eel, fatty varieties of herring, sturgeon.
    Due to the high fat content, the calorie content of some varieties significantly exceeds even lean pork and amounts to 230-260 kcal.
  2. Varieties of medium fat content- fat in the composition of 4-8%. These include sea bass, trout, tuna, pink salmon, low-fat herring, catfish. The calorie content of fish is on average 120-140 kcal.
  3. Low-fat varieties- fish, which contains no more than 4% fat. They are also called skinny varieties.
    These include cod, blue whiting, pollock, saffron cod, haddock, river perch, pike, burbot, pike perch, roach, asp, icefish, carp, rudd.
    The calorie content of this fish does not exceed 80-90 kcal.

When following a diet to lose weight, or for health reasons, nutritionists advise including low-fat fish varieties in the diet at least three times a week. Since the calorie and fat content in them is low, and protein is absorbed more easily than from meat.

Moreover, when losing weight, the polyunsaturated fatty acids of fish are preferable in the diet than the saturated fats found in meat. Fatty acids help control the work of hormones in the body that affect appetite and weight - leptins.

Even fish like flounder are best baked, although most cookbooks recommend them for frying.

Refusal of frying does not mean at all that during the diet you can only eat boiled fish. Delicious and varied fish dishes are obtained by baking in foil, cooking in a slow cooker or double boiler.

Diet recipes for losing weight do not include an abundance of spices, mayonnaise, cheese and sour cream. But herbal seasonings and lemon juice are quite capable of emphasizing the fishy taste and making the dish not as bland as in the case of simple boiling.

For a side dish for low-fat fish dishes, people on a diet are better off choosing stewed vegetables or a green salad.

  3. The calorie content of a smoked product is much higher than that of a salted one. This is due to a special cooking technology.

Based on studies, nutritionists claim that the fat content of smoked fish is several times higher than that of a fresh product.

Smoked meat lovers need not fret. As you know, the product can be hot or cold smoked. So here it is smoked fish, which has undergone heat treatment, is definitely not worth acquiring and using. Cold-smoked fish is less caloric, so occasionally it may appear on your table.

Fish is one of the healthy nutritious foods that will give not only health, but also help to lose weight. With the help of a wide variety of recipes, you can create a suitable menu for yourself for the entire period of the diet. Eating fish daily will make you healthy and beautiful.

The first thing that the attending physician prescribes for gastritis is, of course, a diet. Fish lovers can relax, as this product cannot be excluded from the diet, because it contains healing ingredients in the form of complex carbohydrates and vegetable proteins.

Since this particular product is one of the main sources of protein in our body, it is very useful for such gastric inflammation as gastritis. In addition, it is fish that is digested in just 1.5-2 hours, unlike beef, which takes 5 hours to do this. It is absorbed by the body by 94-98%, while meat can only be absorbed by 85-89%. This is due to the fact that the protein of such a water product has a small amount of connective tissues and fat, which allows it to be absorbed more easily and quickly. In addition, it, unlike meat, has less calories. For example, 100 grams of beef contains more than 160 kilocalories, and river fish- less than 90 kilocalories. In addition, you can find a lot of omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids in it, which indicates its usefulness.

Such an aquatic inhabitant in the treatment of the gastric disease in question must be chosen correctly and it is important to know what kind of it can be eaten during the diet prescribed by the doctor. Of course, a marine dweller (you need to choose cod, pollock, hake) is more useful than a river one (pike, pike perch), especially in this case, because the sea is better absorbed by the stomach. However, no one can forbid you the second considered species.

In order not to harm the body during treatment, you need to know the main rules according to which you can’t eat canned food from the aquatic inhabitant we are considering or fried, since you can only get a bunch of spices, carcinogens and preservatives, instead of its useful components. Therefore, you should not get carried away with spices, but it is better to avoid them altogether if you have earned gastritis.

The next and probably the most important rule, it is necessary to eat exclusively low-fat varieties and types of fish. It is recommended to cook it in boiled, stewed, baked or steamed form. It is imperative to exclude fatty, smoked and salty types of dishes, as well as canned snacks.

  • you need to eat often: you need 5-6 meals a day;
  • portions should be small;
  • do not eat too hot or cold food;

  • cauliflower;
  • zucchini;
  • pumpkin;
  • carrot.

The diet also allows the use of lean meats:

Cutlets are prepared from meat (for vegetable puree) or added to soup and casserole.

The list of allowed foods also includes: cereals, low-fat dairy products, eggs, different types butter, bread.

Gradually, the menu expands and may include new food products (if vegetable soups, mashed potatoes or fish cakes were allowed for use already at the beginning of treatment, then salads, zucchini, jelly, pastries, scrambled eggs, meat or cottage cheese casseroles should be introduced at the stages of remission).

From drinks, preference should be given mineral water without gas and weakly brewed tea. Useful will be the use of oatmeal jelly.

Kissel is also cooked from berries, but it would be more correct to use oatmeal jelly on the menu: it is suitable for both acute periods of the disease and during remission.

Combining allowed dietary products (zucchini, potatoes, lean meat, etc.), even without spices, you can cook delicious dishes (cream soup, casseroles, etc.).

Soups and meat

The daily menu for pancreatitis or cholecystitis, as a rule, includes: first courses (soup) and second courses (cereals or vegetable puree and meat, meatballs, and salads).

Cauliflower puree soup is considered the safest to eat after an exacerbation. To make it, in water with milk, mixed in equal proportions, you need to boil carrots, potatoes and cabbage.

Vegetables are cooked until cooked, after which they must be brought to the consistency of mashed potatoes.

It will be nice to be able to diversify the menu and dietary cream soup with shrimp. To make it, you need to take a glass of milk and water, some shrimp, 1 potato, zucchini (100 grams), salt and parsley.

Potatoes and zucchini need to be peeled and grated on a coarse grater. Shrimps are poured with boiling water for a couple of minutes, after which they are scrolled in a blender. Milk and water must be mixed and boiled.

Grated potatoes and zucchini should be poured into the milk mass.

Vegetables should cook for about 15 minutes. In the resulting vegetable broth, you need to throw a mass of shrimp and parsley and cook them for a couple more minutes.

With pancreatitis and cholecystitis, experts recommend eating meat every day. From beef meat, you can cook delicious diet cutlets that are perfect for vegetable puree.

In minced meat, add finely chopped onion, boiled rice, 1 egg, breadcrumbs and a little salt.

We have already mentioned the benefits of oatmeal jelly. The use of oatmeal jelly is recommended for any diseases of the digestive system (pathologies of the pancreas, cholecystitis or gastritis).

There are several recipes for oatmeal jelly.

Firstly, this is Izotov's jelly, the preparation of which can be divided into 4 stages:

  1. The fermentation stage, when 100 ml of kefir and a pound of oatmeal are added to 3 liters of chilled boiled water. The container with the workpiece must be tightly closed and put in a warm place for 2 days;
  2. The filtration stage involves filtering the mixture through a colander from the resulting sediment;
  3. The stage at which the resulting filtrate settles for another 18 hours and is divided into 2 components: oat concentrate and kvass;
  4. Direct preparation of jelly. To do this, you need to take a small amount of concentrate (to taste) and mix it with two glasses of water. The resulting solution should be brought to a boil and boil for about 5 minutes. Finishing cooking oatmeal jelly, it is worth adding a little salt and oil.

Secondly, this is Momotov's jelly recipe:

  1. Small oat flakes (about 300 grams) should be mixed with a small amount of large flakes (four tablespoons are enough) and pour 100 grams of kefir over them. The resulting mass must be placed in a three-liter jar and fill the remaining space with warm water. The workpiece should be closed and put in a warm place for two days;
  2. The fermented liquid must be filtered from flakes and poured into jars. The flakes also need to be washed with two liters of water and new jars filled with the resulting mixture;
  3. If necessary, ready-made filtrates can be boiled until thickened and consumed.

Cottage cheese casserole and casserole with meat

Casserole is one of those dishes that can be prepared in a thousand different ways. Casseroles are vegetable (where potatoes and zucchini are used), meat or cottage cheese.

They are both sweet and salty. This dietary dish gives many opportunities for the embodiment of the culinary fantasy, in addition, it is healthy and tasty.

  • two hundred grams of cottage cheese;
  • 1 tablespoon of semolina, sugar and melted butter;
  • one egg;
  • 50 grams of sour cream.

You need to create a homogeneous mixture of sugar, semolina with an egg and cottage cheese. The resulting workpiece must be placed in a baking dish, and sour cream is applied on top.

Now all this can be put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. The cottage cheese casserole will be ready when it turns golden (on average it takes 30 minutes).

Before use, it must be allowed to cool, and the curd casserole is served at the table, cut into portions and poured with sour cream.

In the oven, this casserole should be ready in 15 minutes. The dish is served with sour cream and chopped parsley.

Food for pancreatitis and cholecystitis should be digested as simply as possible and not provoke secretion.

The above recipes (soups, jelly, casserole, etc.) prove that diet food can also be delicious.

And although some dishes should be eaten simply because they are healthy, others can pamper even a picky gourmet.

Among marine and river products, fish ranks first as food. It is valued for its exceptional balance of all minerals and vitamins, suitable for human metabolism, as well as for its great nutritional value. If you are overweight or have problems with digestive organs, low-calorie fish will be an excellent substitute for meat and fatty dishes.

Low calorie varieties

Depending on the fat content, there are several varieties of fish: lean (up to 4%), moderately fatty (from 4 to 8%) and fatty (more than 8%). The list of low-calorie fish includes crayfish and shellfish of any kind. Low-fat varieties of fish are especially recommended for children, obese and elderly people, pregnant women, and patients with stomach ulcers.

Here is a list of low-calorie fish:

What fish is considered the lowest calorie? This question is often asked by women who want to make their figure slimmer. Cod contains the least fat (about 0.3%), so it is very popular among diet foods and is considered the lowest calorie fish.

In second place after cod, you can safely put pollock and haddock, they contain from 0.5 to 0.9% fat.

What is useful?

Nutritionists say that lean fish is very useful as a diet food. A properly prepared dish from this product will never cause fullness. Low-calorie varieties of white fish are at least 15% composed of protein proteins that saturate the body with all the necessary amino acids. Of course, fatty fish is also useful, but not everyone can eat it in large quantities.

The benefits of white fish for humans are enormous. These types of meat contain micro and macro elements (iodine, iron, fluorine, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, sodium), vitamins PP, C, A, E, D, K, amino acids. Which of the low-fat breeds is the most useful, it is difficult to say, because each of them has unique properties that have a beneficial effect on the body's systems.

Here are some varieties and their properties:

Red varieties

Red fish has a high fat content, unlike white fish, so you can’t call it low-calorie. For example, if 100 g of lean meat contains 70–100 kcal, then 100 g of salmon contains 240 kcal, and trout contains 227 kcal. The most low-calorie red fish can be safely called pink salmon - in one hundred grams of it, there are about 160 kcal. No matter what, such meat should be present in the diet, because it has so many nutrients and benefits.

If you follow a low-calorie diet, remember 3 rules:

Red fish contains the highest amount of omega-3 fatty acids.

With regular use of the product, the risk of stroke, heart attack and Alzheimer's disease is several times reduced.

For women, red varieties are especially useful: they help strengthen nails and hair, give youth and smoothness to the skin.

Cooking

The fat content of the dish depends not only on its natural qualities, but also on how to cook this low-calorie fish. During frying, the product will become more nutritious than it was raw. It is better to boil the product in water or steam - this option will be most useful. Be sure to complement the fish with other products. It goes well with fish meat: boiled or stewed potatoes, carrots and onions, fresh tomatoes, boiled rice, stewed or fried mushrooms, prunes, olives, sorrel, spinach.

Spices can also be added to the dish, but in moderation. Suitable garlic, black and hot peppers, bay leaf, dill, parsley, basil, lemon balm, fennel.

Sauce will be a great addition to the dish. One of the simplest is considered lemon. To prepare it, you need to beat with a blender at high speed 2 tablespoons of olive oil with dill. Then add the squeezed juice from one lemon, stir.
