From the very beginning, the center was conceived as meeting world standards, and this applies not only to equipment: when construction was just beginning, it was repeatedly reported that doctors would undergo training in foreign clinics, and foreign specialists would be involved in operations.
The FEFU Medical Center has 11 treatment and three diagnostic centers, a consultative polyclinic, research laboratories, an information technology service, and a central sterilization department. The operations are carried out with the help of the Da Vinci robot surgeon and the first three-tesla magnetic resonance imaging scanner in the Far East.
According to the project, which was led by Igor Shuvalov, it was assumed that 11 treatment and three diagnostic centers, a consultative polyclinic, research laboratories, an information technology service, and a central sterilization department would appear on Russky.
The FEFU Medical Center will work according to the standards of foreign clinics. There are no such medical facilities in Russia yet. Due to the importance of the center, it is necessary to accelerate the pace of its construction, since it is planned to receive patients on its basis not only from Primorye, but from all over Far East, and in the future from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region," Shuvalov said while visiting the FEFU campus on Russky Island.

The two buildings of the center are connected by a corridor. In one building there is a hospital, in the other - a rehabilitation center, where, in addition to patients, their relatives can stay, for whom 150 hotel rooms have been prepared.

“A world-class medical center, it makes the strongest impression. One of the directions is very close to us - nuclear medicine and radiation therapy. You have a backlog, you have PET scanners. There is no main thing - the production of radiopharmaceuticals. The one with which the entire technological cycle of work begins. One of our projects is about how to start the production of isotopes and finish, at a minimum, with the diagnosis, and in some cases, the treatment of serious oncological diseases, Anatoly Chubais commented. — Our specialists were here and discussed the possibilities of cooperation. Something went wrong, I don't even know what. We thought about expanding our project, and Vladivostok was not included in it. When I get back home, I'll look into it in detail and understand what the reason is. If it can be overcome, we will overcome it.”

Each department provides single and double comfortable rooms for both adult patients and children. An integral part of the FEFU clinic will be a rehabilitation center with a hotel with 100 rooms.

This is the most objective and prestigious international certification in the field of healthcare, which is considered the "gold standard" of quality and is a confirmation of the compliance of a medical institution with internationally accepted medical and administrative standards, as well as the requirements for meeting international patient safety goals.

FEFU Medical Center (MC)- a modern medical and scientific institution that meets high international standards.
The medical center is a pilot project of the Government Russian Federation: first medical institution subordinate to the Ministry of Education, not the Ministry of Health, and is part of the Far Eastern Federal University. Equipped with unique equipment, the medical center provides highly qualified diagnostic, consultative, medical and rehabilitation assistance.
