Over the past 10 years Symposiums have been held in the following cities: Saratov, Yekaterinburg, Stavropol, Moscow, Omsk, Astrakhan, Orel, Chelyabinsk, Sochi, Cheboksary, Rostov-on-Don.

The annual April Symposia of Russian Pediatric Surgeons are one of the main professional events for Russian specialists and colleagues from the Commonwealth of Independent States. In the tradition of the Symposia, there is a discussion of a certain topical topic of pediatric surgery, in which the organizers are recognized leaders and have an authoritative opinion. Each Symposium ends with the adoption of a Resolution that is mandatory for use by all pediatric surgeons in the country, most often the basis for subsequent Federal Clinical Recommendations of the Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons.

The first student conference of scientific circles of departments of pediatric surgery Soviet Union took place on the initiative of Professor S.D. Ternovsky in the Second Moscow medical institute in 1957. Since then, scientific meetings of future pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists and resuscitators have become the most beloved and significant events in the life of pediatric surgeons in our country, a kind of forge of personnel.

The Scientific Student Conference is held in conjunction with the thematic Symposium of Russian Pediatric Surgeons, and the work of the Student Jury is organically supplemented expert opinion leading professors of pediatric surgeons, authors of textbooks and guidelines. Thus, the accumulated experience, best practices and traditions of the famous Schools of Pediatric Surgeons of the country are passed on to the next generations of specialists.

Annual student conference "Actual issues of surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation childhood"is a unique international event with a 60-year history.
