Yes, I myself, although I had already been there, managed to make a couple of discoveries ...

The weather was really wonderful and sunny. I did not deny myself the pleasure of walking through the steppe meadows of Skyrim that extend near Whiterun and hunt for mud crabs. True, I was also hunted, wolves met quite often, but this did not bother us. Still sometimes attacked by saber-toothed. And also the bandits attacked in broad daylight. As a result, I collected a lot of things: with one of the leaders I found as many as 100 septims. Butterflies were flying everywhere, which I caught in plenty. And we also met Faldrus, who travels around Skyrim and does not forget to regularly make a pilgrimage to the shrine of Azura. Wandering along the road, we came to the Northern Bump Pass and picked the flowers around. And next to it, in the bark of a fallen tree, I quite by accident, although I had been here before, found a safe locked with a student level lock, in which I found an amethyst and a silver ring with amethyst. We met three Imperials and a captured soldier from the Stormcloaks, and for the first time managed to free the prisoner so that he fled, only three Imperials fell, and so that he would not be invited to join the Stormcloaks. He just ran away, and I robbed the bodies of three Imperials, with one of them I even found 7 coins.

And we went out again, already with Lydia, to a very interesting place ... In the middle of the field-valley, there are stones and figurines depicting animals. I met such ones in the Dwemer ruins ... They clearly indicate that they need to be rotated to the desired position. And just today, I even understood why ... In all likelihood, as I personally understood, they open a grate in the ground, under which there is a chest. You can’t open the chest without opening the grate, I tried it ... I’ll have to find out more about this place and return.

After a short journey, we finally ended up in the camp of the Sleepy Tree ... There, the tree still glows beautifully with a lilac haze, which stands in a miraculously lilac small lake. On a spit nearby, a skeever is roasting, and several Nirn roots grow along the sides of the lake, and mountain flowers of different colors, and in these places you can also find plenty of such a plant as cotton grass with white flowers. In the same camp there are several baskets of mammoth cheese. Very tasty, by the way. Hungry, I decided to have lunch with them. Not far from the camp, I found the body of an Imperial. Well, of course, there are a lot of butterflies here ... And there is one giant grazing a couple of mammoths ...

Having collected the oleoresin of the Sleepy tree, I began to look for a place where there could be an autumnal bow, and accidentally discovered a cave ... The cave turned out to be very small and cozy. There was another giant in it, which we dealt with quite quickly, without even noticing how ... When the giant was present, they found: a wolf skin, a deer skin, a saber tooth skin, a long bow, a small stone of souls, which was by the way, 203 coins and, of course, - giant's finger, which goes as an ingredient in some potions. There are a few more baskets of mammoth cheese in the cave, an orichalcum vein, and I also found a few strips of leather.

I also found an orc named Ulag. He found a note from Iseult that read: "Don't try to fool me, Ulag. I can get a better price out of Khajiit caravans than you can, and the guards are still looking for you after that story with skooma. So bring the juice to me in Whiterun market, as agreed. - Isolda." Hmm, it will be necessary to find Isolde and inform her that Ulag is dead.

And, of course, we found in the chest, in which the Fallen Hunting Bow was hidden (undead level 3 and below rout for 30 seconds).

Looking around again, we quietly got out of the cave and went towards Whiterun. We had to talk to Izolda... On the way, we met mammoths walking around the plains, a couple of saber-toothed littered with one of them, and we met another interesting character - a skeleton dressed in a beautiful purple cape... While I was aiming, Lidka had already eliminated him. Only a Nord sword was found with him. But this is the first time I've seen such a skeleton...

We passed Fort Greymoor, which was occupied by the Imperials, and walking around the courtyard, I collected the utensils they did not need. While wandering to Whiterun, we met some sad revelers along the way. I tried to talk to them, but to no avail. Near Whiterun, the rain stopped. I traded with the Khajiit camped near the city and upgraded my armor when I came to Whiterun.

I stopped by the house and decided to put the Fallen Hunting Bow in the weapon rack next to the Whiterun Axe, it turned out quite nice.

I also stopped by the Drunken Hunter Tavern and sold some weapons.

I found Iseult in the tavern "Prancing Mare". She somehow ambiguous perceived the death of Ulag. I asked her to tell me about this wonderful tree ... And this is what Izolda told me: “In the pond in the center of the camp there is a seemingly dead tree, the bark of which has a lilac glow. This glow is most noticeable at night, then the lilac haze rising from the water. According to legend, a seed from Umbriel fell here. There is also a theory that the seeds came to Skyrim as a result of the Red Mountain eruption." But as Isolde noted, this is a completely unreal story ... And then I sold Isolde a couple of bottles of Sleepy Tree Gum. I must say that Isolde turned out to be a very honest and profitable seller, in this case - a buyer. If the maximum price in Skyrim is 100 septims, then Isolde gives 150 for each bottle. Which is more than generous. I'll keep the rest of the bottles for myself, but I'll keep in mind who to sell to if necessary.

According to the assignment, it is necessary to kill the giant in the Sleepy Tree Camp. This is a very beautiful place near Whiterun. Not only pilgrims come to the Sleepy Tree, but also I - to collect resin. And the giant sometimes hooligans. Therefore, it is quite logical that the jarl chose this particular place, among the other camps of the giants.

Today I learned how to use a staff. Against the giant, she chose the Staff of Fire Arrows, which turned out to be very effective. She brought him to his knees with a few blows. The main thing is an accurate hit. I missed sometimes. The mammoths, who began to defend their master, also interfered. And who ran after me for a long time when I killed the giant. I didn't touch the mammoths. Since their run is not great, it was not difficult for me, an elegant elf, to escape from them. When the giant was found: 206 gold coins in gold, an imperial light helmet, a goat skin, a horse skin, an orc battle axe, a giant's finger (used as an ingredient in making potions), a steel two-handed sword and the skin of a cave bear.

It was daylight outside and I wanted to take a walk more... To pick flowers and catch butterflies... On one of the stones I found only elven armor left over from the Thalmor Justicar, and then I met two more of these, but already alive, as always, menacing. Well, well, I'll leave Fendal a gift in the form of a whole set of elven armor - let him keep it in his chest.

Back at Camp Sleepy Tree. I saw already calmed mammoths and was able to collect the resin of a sleepy tree. Found Broken Tooth Cave. She ran to the Sanctuary of Zenithar, the god of trade, near which she also found silver ingots.

Between the Shrine of Zenithar and the Gjukar Monument, there is a small pool that is inhabited by a Mud Crab Guardian Spirit. This is another of the three animals that Froakie pointed out to me. Nothing was found in the remains of the ghost. And this is the only one of the spirits who had a physical shell. In the pond lies the body of a giant mud crab. But although you can’t take any meat or claws from it, it’s just worth a look. =)

On the way to Whiterun, I met a sabertooth and the body of a robber, in which the book "Beggar" was found, which increases the skill of pickpocketing, which can come in handy ... They say that there is even a guild of thieves in Riften. I wonder if stealing from a thief would be considered a sin?)))

I was worried about the two mammoths that were left without an owner, but then I saw another giant walking around in the vastness of Skyrim, and calmed down. He will be lucky when either the mammoth comes to him, or the giant himself finds the mammoth and takes him to him. On the way, we found the Broken Fang Cave.

By the evening I ran to Fort Greymoor, where the robbers settled. With thugs, bandits and robbers, I found my first elven weapon: a bow and a mace. It is a pity that in a single copy. If I find more, I'll give Fendal, he deserves it! In one of the chests I found a Steel Plate Helmet of True Recovery (spells consume 17% less magic). The helmet is also similar to the elven one, only dark in color. Illusion potion, healer's potion, and improved stamina potion were found on the shelves.

Among the robbers, going into one of the rooms, I found a sleeping old woman named Agnis. She is a harmless old woman who lives in Fort Greymoor. And for a very long time she has been serving as a cook and servant for those who control the fort, does not pay attention to personalities. In an attempt to talk, she said an interesting phrase: “This fort will be captured by some, then by others ... There is no peace from them! I tell them: I won’t go anywhere, I’m here like walls!” I didn’t manage to lie down on the bed with her, so I went to look for my friend and found it. On the way, finding the body of an imperial soldier. Went to bed at 3 am.

There is also a theory that the seeds came to Skyrim as a result of the Red Mountain eruption.

If you approach the tree, you can see a crane sticking out of it, from which you can draw a potion - the resin of the Sleepy Tree, one bottle every week.

The rest of the camp of the giants is like any other. Giants and mammoths live here. A fire is burning in the camp, on which a couple of skeevers are roasting - a source of a useful ingredient. Nearby you can find three bags in which mammoth cheese ripens. Two Nirn roots grow on the edge of the reservoir, and there are other plants in the vicinity: blue and purple mountain flowers, lavender, and Mora Tapinella.

Sleepy Tree - Cave

On the territory of the camp there is no chest with trophies, which is usual in such cases. It is located in a small cave, which is part of the camp. The entrance to the cave is not marked on the world map, but it is on the area map. There is one giant in the cave, very strong, it can be problematic for a low-level hero to defeat him. Also here is the corpse of the orc Ulaga with a note from Isolde. Reading this note will start a small quest. Of interest in the cave, there is a chest with various trophies, including Sleepy Tree Gum, five bags of mammoth cheese, an orichalcum yield, a skeever roasted over a fire, and three strips of leather.

  • Sleepy Tree Gum - 2 pcs. in a cave, in a chest, 1 pc. on the corpse of an orc and 1 pc. can be collected from a tree.

Bugs

  • Sometimes a tap falls out of a tree for some reason - then you can find it floating in the water near the tree. Oddly enough, but it is still possible to collect resin from it ... There is information that moving the faucet to another place is useless - the next day it will be on the tree again. However, according to other information, the “torn off” faucet can be stored in a convenient place (for example, near the city gates of Whiterun).

Neighborhood

  • To the east of the camp are the remains of a destroyed Nordic tomb. If you solve the riddle, you can get a few good things as a reward. If you stand facing the grate, then the images on the stones must be set from left to right - fish-eagle-snake.
