Can we do it for nature?

“Modern Society will find no solution on the ecological problem unless it takes a serious look at its lifestyle.”
John Paul

A number of countries with developed infrastructures increase every year in the world. It becomes a big problem for our ecology. Is there an opportunity to develop the cities and the factories and don't endanger nature? Let's examine it.

I am convinced that preserving ecology must be one of the most important problems of the XXI century. Countries should take some serious measures to implement this vital task. Primarily, they should perform some ecological programs on the polluted areas for saving and restoring them. Secondly, they should toughen the legislation and they have to produce goods which wouldn't destroy the nature. First of all we must develop technologies for recycling cans, polyethylene, and similar things.

There is another side to this problem. It is considered people's lifestyle of people. Their attitude to the nature has been changed with the economic growth. Unfortunately, people refer to natural resources dismissively and mine out of them in unreasonably large amounts forgetting that depletion of mineral resources leads to their impoverishment. Besides, not all people living in luxury agree to abandon from comfort. Moreover, many of them violate the laws that are designed to help conserve nature.

Even if people couldn’t refuse neither the cars, nor the factories, it is essential to be more responsible of our ecology! Otherwise, we can lose our startling forests, lakes and wild animals in the long run.

To sum it up, indeed, modern society can develop without ruining nature. The status of ecology is forcing people to combine their efforts to protect it! Only together we shall be able to reduce pollution in the largest and fastest-growing urban areas.

"Modern society will not be able to find a solution to the environmental problem until it reconsiders its views on its way of life."
John Paul

Every year the number of countries with developed infrastructure is growing in the world. This becomes a big problem for environment. Is it possible to develop cities and industry without harming the environment? Let's consider.

I am convinced that the protection of the environment should be one of the main tasks of the 21st century. Countries must take serious action to achieve this vital task. First, to carry out environmental programs in the contaminated areas for their conservation and restoration. Secondly, to tighten legislation and produce goods that would not destroy nature. And above all, we must improve technologies for processing cans, polyethylene, etc.

There is another side of this problem related to the lifestyle of people. The attitude of people to nature has changed with the development of the economy. Unfortunately, people neglect natural resources and extract them in large quantities, forgetting that the depletion of natural resources will lead to impoverishment. In addition, not all people living in luxury are willing to give up comfort. Also, most people violate laws that are aimed at preserving nature.

Even if people cannot give up cars and factories, we must be more responsible to nature! Otherwise, we may lose our amazing forests, lakes and wildlife in a short time.

Thus, indeed, modern society can develop without harming the environment. The ecological state forces us to unite all efforts to protect nature. Only together can we reduce pollution in rapidly growing countries and cities.

People have always polluted their surroundings. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. People lived in uncrowded rural areas and did not have pollution - causing machines. With the development of crowded industrial cities which put huge amounts of pollutants into small areas, the problem has become more important.

Automobiles and other new inventions make pollution steadily worse. Since the late 1960's people have become alarmed with the danger of pollution.

Air, water, and soil are necessary for the existence of all living things. But polluted air can cause illness, and even death. Polluted water kills fish and other marine life. On polluted soil, food can not be grown. In addition, environmental pollution spoils the natural beauty of our planet.

Pollution is as complicated as a serious problem. Automobiles are polluting the air but they provide transportation for the people. Factories pollute the air and the water but they provide jobs for people and produce necessary goods. Fertilizers and pesticides are important for growing crops but they can ruin soil.

Thus, people would have to stop using many useful things if they wanted to end pollution immediately. Most people don't want that of course. But pollution can be reduced gradually.

Scientists and engineers can find the ways to reduce pollution from automobiles and factories. Government can pass the laws that would make enterprises take measures to reduce pollution. Individuals and groups of people can work together to persuade enterprises to stop polluting activities.

I think that Russia is one of the dirtiest countries in the world. In Russia almost every family has a car. And fumes of cars are very dangerous. Our factories, cars, trains and planes make the air dirty, so the atmosphere is polluted.
Many cities suffer from smog. Vast forests are cut and burnt in fire. Their disappearance upsets the oxygen balance. As a result some rare species of animals, birds, fish and plants disappear forever, a number of rivers and lakes dry up. When you use water wisely, you help the environment.
People always polluted their surroundings. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. People in lived rural areas and did not produce such amount of polluting agents that would cause a dangerous situation on a global scale. I do not want my family to live in a polluted environment.
Fortunately, it's not too late to solve these problems . I find many simple ways to help our planet in everyday life. We can plant trees and create parks for endangered animals.
We can recycle our wastes; persuade enterprises to stop polluting activities, because it is apparent that our careless use of fossil fuels and chemicals is destroying this planet. And it is now more than ever apparent that at the same time we are destroying our bodies and our future.
I'm sure all is in the hands of people. I call up: Protect environment, save nature!

Environmental protection in English is a popular topic of discussion in English-speaking countries. Various texts write about this: articles, essays, and even books. From year to year, this topic does not lose its relevance, as humanity, on the one hand, increases the volume of industrial production, which negatively affects the environment, and on the other hand, finds new ways to optimize this very production, making it safer for the environment. To describe this topic in detail and interestingly in English, use the following plan.

Outline of a story about protecting the environment in English

  1. Introduction

At the beginning of the topic (topic), tell us what the environment is and what danger it threatens. Talk about the importance of maintaining a clean environment.

An example of a story about protecting the environment in English

An environment is an important part of human life and a healthy environment is a must for human existence. Therefore, it is crucial that we take care of our surroundings and help nature maintain ecological balance so that we could hand over to the coming generations the environment as we found it, if not any better.

Pollution from factories and cars can cause damage to the environment. It makes the air dirty. Breathing this dirty air causes health problems, particularly for children and the elderly. Pollution not only increases spending on health care but also decreases working ability. We need to control the amounts of pollution we produce in order to prevent health problems.

If we do not protect our environment it will continue to get worse and our children will suffer the consequences. The air and water will be dirtier, natural resources will become scarcer, and more plants and animals will die. Our children won't have as much natural beauty to admire. Even worse, their well-being will be threatened.

The steps taken for the environmental protection include coordination of actions of State governments, officers, and other authorities laying down standards for the quality of the environment, and the standards for emission or discharge of pollutants from various sources.

I believe that environmental protection should become the common concern for all inhabitants of the Earth. As for me, I try to actively participate in this cause. Every summer, I join a group of volunteers, and together we’re going to the woods, mountains or beaches to collect garbage and to make our environment cleaner.

Translation of the story

The environment is an important part of human life, and a healthy environment is a prerequisite for human existence. Therefore, it is very important that we take care of what surrounds us and help nature to maintain an ecological balance so that we can pass on to future generations the environment in the state in which we inherited it, or even better.

Pollution from factories and cars can wreak havoc on the environment. This makes the air dirty. This polluted air causes health problems, especially for children and the elderly. Pollution not only increases health care costs, but also reduces the ability to work. We must control the amount of pollution we carry out in order to prevent health problems.

If we do not protect our environment, it will continue to deteriorate and our children will suffer the consequences. Air and water will become dirtier, natural resources will become scarce, and many plants and animals will die. Our children will have less reason to admire the beauty of nature. Or even worse, their entire well-being would be at stake.

Measures taken to protect the environment include projects to coordinate the actions of state authorities, officials and other bodies that set environmental quality standards and standards for specific emissions of pollutants from various sources.

I believe that protecting the environment should be the task of all inhabitants of the Earth. For my part, I try to take an active part in this matter. Every summer I go with a group of volunteers to the forest, the mountains or the coast, where we collect garbage together and make the environment a little cleaner.

Our planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, but nowadays it's the only place where we can live.

People always polluted their surroundings. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. People in lived rural areas and did not produce such amount of polluting agents that would cause a dangerous situation on a global scale.

With the development of overcrowded industrial highly developed cities, which put huge amounts of pollutants into surrounds, the problem has become more and more dangerous. Today our planet is in serious danger. Acid rains, global warming, air and water pollution, and overpopulation are the problems that threaten human lives on the Earth.

In order to understand how air pollution affects our body, we must understand exactly what this pollution is. The pollutants that harm our respiratory system are known as particulates. Particulates are the small solid particles that you can see through rays of sunlight. They are products of incomplete combustion in engines, for example: internal-combustion engines, road dust and wood smoke.

Billions of tons of coal and oil are consumed around the world every year. When these fuels are burnt, they produce smoke and other by-products, which is emitted into the atmosphere. Although wind and rain occasionally wash away the smoke, given off by power plants and automobiles, but it is not enough.. These chemical compounds undergo a series of chemical reactions in the presence of sunlight; as a result we have smog, mixture of fog and smoke. While such pollutants as particulates we can, other harmful ones are not visible. Among the most dangerous to bur health are carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide and ozone or active oxygen.

If you have ever been in an enclosed parking garage or a tunnel and felt dizzy or lightheaded, then you have felt the effect of carbon monoxide (CO). This odourless, colourless, but poisonous gas is produced by the incomplete burning of fossil fuels, like gasoline or diesel fuel.

Factories emit tons of harmful chemicals. These emissions have disastrous consequences for our planet. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains.

Our forests are disappearing because they are cut down or burnt. If this trend continues, one day we won't have enough oxygen to breathe, we won't see a beautiful green forest at all.

The seas are in danger. They are filled with poison: industrial and nuclear wastes, chemical fertilizers and pesticides. If nothing is done about it, one day nothing will be able to live in our seas.

Every ten minutes one kind of animal, plant or insect dies out forever. If nothing is done about it, one million species that are alive today may soon become extinct.

And even greater threats are nuclear power stations. We all know how tragic the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster are.

Fortunately, it's not too late to solve these problems. We have the time, the money and even the technology to make our planet a better, cleaner and safer place.

Translation of the text: Environmental Protection - Protection of the environment

Our planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, but at present it is the only place where we can live.

People have always polluted everything around. But until now, pollution has not been such a serious problem. People lived in rural areas and did not produce the amount of pollutants that could cause a dangerous situation on a global scale.

With the development of overcrowded industrialized highly developed cities, which emit huge amounts of pollutants into the environment, the problem has become more and more serious. Today our planet is in serious danger. Acid rain, global warming, air and water pollution, overpopulation are problems that threaten human life on Earth.

To understand how air pollution affects our body, we need to know exactly what this pollution is. The pollutants that harm our respiratory system are called particulate matter. Macroparticles are small solid particles that we see in sunlight. These are derivatives of the incomplete combustion of fuels in engines, such as an internal combustion engine, road dust and smoke from burning wood.

Billions of tons of coal and oil are burned all over the world every year. When this fuel burns, it releases smoke and other by-products into the environment. Although wind and rain sometimes wash away the smoke emitted by power plants and cars, this is not enough. These chemical elements undergo a series of chemical reactions when exposed to sunlight, and as a result we have smog, a mixture of fog and smoke. While pollutants such as particulate matter can be seen, other substances harmful to our health remain invisible. Among the most dangerous to our health are carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide and ozone, or active oxygen.

If you've ever been in a closed garage or tunnel and felt dizzy or low on energy, then you felt the effects carbon monoxide(CO). This colorless, but odorless, poisonous gas is obtained from the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, similar to gasoline or diesel fuel.

Factories emit tons of harmful chemicals. These emissions have disastrous consequences for our planet. They are the main cause of the greenhouse effect and acid rain.

Due to deforestation or fires, our forests are disappearing. If this trend continues, one day we will not have enough oxygen to breathe, we will never see a beautiful green forest at all.

The seas are also in danger. They are filled with poison: industrial waste, nuclear industry waste, chemical fertilizers and pesticides. If we do nothing, then one day there will be no one to live in our seas.

Every ten minutes, one species of animal, plant or insect dies out on our planet. If we do nothing, then the ten million species of living organisms now living will soon disappear.

An even bigger threat is nuclear power plants. We all know the tragic consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

Fortunately, it is not too late and we can solve these problems. We have the time, money and technology to make our planet a better, cleaner and safer place. We can plant trees and create parks for endangered animals.

We can recycle waste, convince entrepreneurs to stop polluting the environment, because it is clear that our reckless use of fuels and chemicals is destroying our planet and moreover, it is clear that we are destroying ourselves and our future.
