What they pray for to the Great Martyr Marina (Margarita) Saint Marina lived at the end of the 3rd - beginning of the 4th century. She was born in Antioch (Asia Minor) in the family of a pagan priest. The girl lost her mother in infancy and was brought up by a nurse, who, probably, instructed Marina in the Christian faith. However, the life of the maiden proceeded in a pagan environment, and she was not baptized due to the absence of an Orthodox priest. During the persecution of Christians by Emperor Diocletian (reigned in 284-305), fifteen-year-old Marina was captured and imprisoned. The saint was subjected to cruel torments that lasted three days. According to the life, they tied her to a tree and scorched her with fire, and then they tried to drown her in a barrel filled with water. The martyr prayed to the Lord that this execution would become Holy Baptism for her. When she was immersed in water, a bright light shone and a white dove descended from Heaven, carrying a golden crown in her beak. The bonds of the holy martyress loosened of their own accord, and she emerged from the font completely healthy, without traces of burns or wounds. Amazed by this miracle, the people began to praise the True God, and many believed. The ruler, in a rage, ordered the death of all who profess Christ. Then about 15,000 Christians died, and Saint Marina was beheaded (beginning of the 4th century). In Catholic countries, she is known as Margarita. The Great Martyr Marina is asked to instruct believers in their earthly life, to help them live chastely, righteously and piously, to take care of the salvation of the soul, the fulfillment of the commandments of Christ and the correction of life. She is prayed to intercede from the Lord for peace and prosperity to our Fatherland, for all Orthodox Christians, affirmation in faith, strengthening brotherly love, deliverance from troubles and sorrows, sins, vices, devilish attacks and temptations, as well as everything necessary for earthly and future life. The relics of St. Marina are glorified by many healings. Prayer to the Great Martyr Marina (Margarita) O holy virgin and great martyr Marino, the true Bridegroom of your Christ, the bride, who suffered in the city of Antioch for the faith of Christ, passed through fire and water and settled in the Kingdom of Heaven! From your youth, with all your soul and with all your heart, you loved Christ, our God, serve the one who wishes. You shone with the power of your piety, chastity and righteousness, having lived holy and blameless among the unbelievers. You, miraculously healed from wounds by the grace of God, amazed your tormentors and led many infidels to the knowledge of the True God. You, by the power of God, trampled down the devil, who appeared before your eyes, and you received grace in the battle of the enemy of the human race to win. Thou art the whole Church of Christ, a most bright lamp, a prayer book warm to God, and an ambulance intercessor to all those who come to you with faith. O Saint Marino, guide us to the Heavenly Fatherland, give us zeal for salvation, direct our steps to doing the commandments of Christ, to the path of spiritual achievement and correction of life. Remember us with your prayer, help us all to live chastely, righteously and piously. Hear us, the passion-bearer of Christ, and implore God, the Lover of mankind, that He may grant peace and prosperity to our Fatherland by your intercession, affirmation in faith, piety and purity to all Orthodox Christians, may He strengthen brotherly love in us, may He cleanse us, sinners, from filth and vices may he save us from the action of the enemy and have mercy on His grace, and the heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven will make, where together with you we will glorify the marvelous in His saints God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, always, now and forever and forever and ever. Amen. © Mikhail Tikhomirov Quoted in the abbreviation of the book: PRAYERS TO THE SAINTS OF GOD WITH BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LIVES AND HELP IN DIFFERENT NEEDS. – M.: Ed. Tikhomirova M.Yu., 2018

I have been studying religious literature and prayers for a long time. Today I would like to dwell on one little-known text of the prayer service - "Christian shameful intercession." I will tell the essence of the prayer and how to read it correctly.

The variety of prayers used by Christians is truly amazing. After all, there are a huge number of various prayers. Some of them are well known even to those people who are far from religion and do not attend church. Such prayers can be safely attributed to "Our Father". Perhaps, in Russia one cannot find a person who would not know the text of this prayer service.

However, there are some prayers that are little known. And the reason for this is not at all the fact that they are rarely used. Although, of course, there are those that are used extremely rarely or are known only to a narrow circle of clergy. For example, a simple Christian is not allowed to know about those prayers that are read by the ministers of the church. After all, their texts, for the most part, are kept strictly secret.

But now we will not talk about such prayers, but about “Christian shameless intercession.” Surely, this name means nothing to many people. Based on this, one important conclusion can be drawn - the sacrament of communion is alien to them. The fact is that this prayer is only part of a certain rite. This rite is performed at the moment when a person takes the sacrament.

How does prayer help?

One important clarification needs to be made right away. This prayer is not used by a person to achieve any goal. This is her main difference. If you think about it carefully, then almost all the prayers known to Christians are said by them in order to ask heaven for something. In itself, this action is not unacceptable. Since the scripture says that prayer is a way of communicating with the Lord. In addition, with its help, you can also turn to the patron saints, martyrs, guardian angel.

But specifically in this case, the purpose of the prayer changes somewhat. Because we are talking about the grace of the Virgin Mary. It is to her that it is customary to exalt the "Christian shameless intercession." Grace is taken to mean many things.

Turning to the Mother of God, a person in his heart can pray for different things:

  • about deliverance from great sorrow - sometimes it happens that a strong melancholy and sorrow settle in the soul of a person. They have such a destructive effect on a person that he himself begins to resemble the living dead. If nothing is done, it can end very sadly. It is for this reason that the clergy insist that at the moment of grief a person should be as close as ever to the church;
  • about solving needs - material need for a person is the most terrible punishment. And at the same time, the Lord bequeathed to his creations never to pursue material well-being. Therefore, it is impossible to ask for money while offering prayers. The only thing a person can do when in a difficult financial situation is to ask heaven to deliver him from great need;
  • about healing from illness - it is believed that most often Christians turn to the Creator with a request for healing. Of course, today medicine has reached unprecedented heights. However, this does not mean at all that doctors can try on the role of the almighty God and give someone life. And today many people die from various diseases. Only the Lord can take or give life. And therefore, if one of the relatives falls ill, it is better to turn to the Mother of God and ask her for intercession;
  • about the health of children - it is noteworthy that the prayer "The Intercession of Christians" is also offered by pregnant women. Since this prayer makes it possible to turn to the greatest of mothers and beg her health for the unborn child.

Please note that not only those who need help, but also their relatives can read this prayer. In other words, representation here is quite possible. Moreover, it is not prohibited. As you know, there are such prayers that are allowed to be said only to people who have encountered difficulties. But in this case, this rule does not apply. And this is quite normal, since such texts have tremendous power. Therefore, if for some reason a person cannot offer a prayer on his own, the next of kin should do it for him.

It is noteworthy that even today the debate around the question of whether people who are relatives of atheists or simply unbaptized apostates can use this prayer. Indeed, sometimes the answer to this question is not as simple as it seems. After all, all prayers should be offered only with faith in the heart. If it is not the person who is in trouble who is praying, but his relative or friend, it is impossible to say for sure whether heaven will hear the prayer or not.

This can be explained by the fact that every problem is a test. And the Lord sends this test to people. If the severity of the test could not affect the apostate, then heaven can send an even greater curse on him. That is why there is no guarantee that heaven will not leave the request unfulfilled. This must be taken into account when praying. There should be no certainty in the heart of the one who prays. It must be filled solely with faith in the justice of heaven.

Where to read the prayer?

This is the second important question, the answer to which worries people. After all, if a person has set himself the goal of offering a prayer, he will try to do it in accordance with the canons of the church.

As you know, even in the Holy Scriptures, those elementary rules are indicated that must be followed during the reading of prayers. Of course, the priests insist that the main thing is sincerity and faith. In other words, a prayer offered according to all the canons, but devoid of sincerity, cannot be heard by heaven. While a sincere appeal under any circumstances will be heard and fulfilled. And it does not matter at all whether the person adhered to the established rules or not.

However, this should not be taken as permission not to follow the rules. Rather, it is possible under exceptional circumstances. For example, when a person is faced with danger. After all, at such moments he really cannot think about how to offer prayer correctly. Moreover, in such cases, most often, the well-known prayer “Our Father” is used. But, when it comes to reading “Christian Repentance Shameless”, you should still adhere to certain rules:

  1. It is best to read a prayer, standing in front of the icon of the Virgin "Healer". It should immediately be noted that this, of course, cannot be called an absolute requirement. If there was no such icon in the house, you can read a prayer in front of any icon of the Mother of God.
  2. This prayer must be read with others. To clarify which particular prayer is best to use, you should talk to the rector and tell him about your intentions. At the same time, it is extremely important to clarify what exactly a person wants to receive and why the idea to offer a prayer has ripened in his head. Since it is the motives that a person was driven by that have a huge influence on the choice of accompanying prayers.
  3. It is necessary to offer prayer not at the moment when difficulties came into life, but every day. Only in this way can a person beg for mercy from the Virgin and prove that he is worthy of her. Of course, reading prayers is not a duty, but it allows a person to draw closer to the Lord.

The History of Prayer

To understand why the clergy recommend offering a prayer for Holy Communion in front of the “Healer” icon, one should remember the history of its writing. A long time ago, one of the Moscow priests fell ill. His illness was so serious that the man could hardly move. He was tormented by terrible pains, to get rid of which did not help any of the known medicines. To cope with the pain and continue to fulfill the duties of a spiritual mentor, the man decided to ask for help from heaven. He offered up a prayer to the Mother of God. At the moment of reading the prayer, an angel appeared near him. And he also bowed his head in prayer. After that, the Virgin herself appeared. She cured the unfortunate man. This was the impetus for writing this icon.

Since then, almost all churches have the icon of the "Healer". There are always lighted candles near it, as hundreds of parishioners visit the church to light a candle and pray for the health of their loved ones and relatives. They remember the miracle that the Mother of God performed. Moreover, it is believed that this icon itself is an object capable of performing miracles. Therefore, some parishioners ask permission to touch it in order to feel its power.

Conclusion

  1. This prayer is an appeal to the Mother of God.
  2. It is necessary to read it, following certain canons.
  3. In order for the prayer to be heard, it is recommended to read it every day.
  4. It is best to offer a prayer in front of the face of the Healer icon.

New article: prayer and now the intercession of Christians on the site site - in all details and details from the many sources that we managed to find.

Thou didst receive Divine grace from heaven, and with thy mouth teach all to bow in the Trinity to the One God, John Chrysostom, all-bliss, reverend, we praise thee worthily: thou art a mentor, as if divine.

Thou bo mentor - because you are a mentor. Like a divine manifestation - because you are divine (teaching) ( literally: as revealing the divine).

The intercession of Christians is shameless, the intercession to the Creator is immutable, do not look down on sinful prayers, but precede, as if Good, to help us, faithfully calling Ty; hasten to prayer, and rush to supplication, intercessory intercession, the Theotokos, who honor Thee.

Preliminary - get ahead, come, before any petition, Sweep - hurry up, do your best. Representing ever-revering Ty - always interceding for those who worship You.

Do not despise sinful prayers voices ... Another unusual word order. The meaning is: Do not despise the voices of prayers(whose?) sinners.

If the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great was celebrated, read the troparion to Basil the Great, tone 1:

Your broadcast has gone out into the whole earth, as if you had received your word, and you have taught it magnificently, you have clarified the nature of beings, you have adorned human customs, the royal priesthood, reverend father, pray to Christ God, save our souls.

Your message has gone out to all the earth, your voice resounded throughout the land, As if I received your word - here: and she received your word. Imzhe - which (word). Divine - just as befits God. The nature of beings - the nature of all things.

Thanksgiving Prayer 1st

But Lord, Lover of mankind, for the sake of us he died and rose again, and granted us this terrible and life-giving Sacraments, for the good deed and sanctification of our souls and bodies, let me be this and me for the healing of the soul and body, for driving away everyone who resists, for the enlightenment of God mine, in the world of my spiritual strength, in faith without shame, in love without hypocrisy, in the fulfillment of wisdom, in observance of Thy commandments, in the application of Thy Divine grace, and appropriation of Thy Kingdom, but in Thy holiness we do not remember, Thy grace always I live to myself, but to You, our Lord and Benefactor; And so this life, having gone out of the hope of the eternal belly, into the everlasting one I will achieve peace, even though the voice of the celebrants is unceasing, and the infinite sweetness of those who see Your face, kindness inexpressible. And give me tears of repentance and confession, in a hedgehog and praise Thee all the days of my belly, for you are blessed and glorified forever and ever. Amen.

Now let Thy servant go, Master, according to Thy word in peace, as if my eyes have seen Thy salvation, Thou hast prepared before the face of all people, the light of the revelation of tongues and the glory of Thy people Israel.

Prayer of thanksgiving, St. John of Kronstadt, read after healing from an illness

Thanksgiving Prayers for Holy Communion

Thanksgiving for every good deed of God

It is advisable to read prayers of thanksgiving prayers every day. Thank the Lord for every day you live, for the blessings sent to you, for the great gift - health, for the happiness of children. For everything that you have at the moment, even if, from your point of view, this is not so much.

Saint Gregory the Theologian wrote: “The Lord is thirsty to be thirsty, and He fills those who want to drink; He accepts it as a blessing if they ask Him for a blessing. He is accessible and generously gives great gifts, gives more joyfully than others accept themselves. Just not finding yourself a low soul, asking for what is unimportant and unworthy of the Giver.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill towards men. We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we cry, we glorify Thee, we thank Thee, great for the sake of Thy glory. Lord the King of heaven, God the Father Almighty. Lord Son, Only Begotten Jesus Christ, and Holy Soul. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, take away the sins of the world, accept our prayer. Sit at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. As you are the only Holy One, You are the only Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Every day I will bless Thee, and I will praise Thy name forever and ever.

Wake, Lord, Thy mercy on us, as if we were relying on Thee.

Blessed be Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy justification (this is repeated three times).

Lord, Thou hast been a refuge for us forever and ever. Az reh: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned against You. Lord, I have resorted to You, teach me to do Your will, as You are my God, as You have a source of life, in Your light we will see sowing. Prove Your mercy to those who guide You.

Song to the Lord Jesus Christ:

The only-begotten Son and Word of God, immortal, and deigning our salvation for the sake of being incarnated from the Holy Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, immutably incarnated, crucified Christ God, righting death by death, one of the Holy Trinity, glorified by the Father and the Holy Spirit, save us.

Remember us in Your Kingdom, O Lord, when You come into Your Kingdom.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for those are the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are the weeping ones, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Blessed be merciful, for they will have mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are the exiles for the sake of righteousness, for those are the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are you, when they reproach you, and they will spit and say all kinds of evil words, for you lying to me for my sake.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is many in heaven.

The Lord shepherds me, and will deprive me of nothing. In the place of zlachne, there they instilled me, on the water calmly raised me. Turn my soul, guide me on the paths of truth, for Your name's sake. If I go in the midst of the canopy of death, I will not fear evil, for you are with me: your rod and your club, that consoles me. Thou hast prepared a meal before me against those who are aching for me; And Your mercy will marry me all the days of my life, and let us dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of days.

A short version of the prayer of thanksgiving to the guardian angel.

Having glorified the Lord, I pay tribute to you, my guardian angel. Glorious be thou in the Lord! Amen.

Glory to Thee, Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Fatherless Father, heal every disease and every ailment in people, as if you had mercy on me a sinner and delivered me from my illness, not allowing it to develop and kill me for my sins. Grant me from now on, Lord, the strength to firmly do Your will for the salvation of my wretched soul and for Your glory with Your Father without beginning and Your Consubstantial Spirit, now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.

Your broadcast has gone out into the whole earth, as if you had received your word, and thou hast taught it divinely, thou hast clarified the nature of beings, thou hast adorned human customs, royal sanctity, reverend father, pray to Christ God, to save our souls.

Glory: Thou hast appeared an unshakable foundation to the church, giving all unstolen dominion by man, imprinting with your commands, unrevealed Basil the Reverend.

And now: The intercession of Christians is shameless, an immutable intercession to the Creator, do not despise the voices of sinful prayers, but precede, as if Good, to the aid of us, faithfully calling Ty: hasten to prayer, and rush to supplication, intercession ever, Theotokos, honoring Thee.

Even from God, from above, we received divine grace, glorious Gregory, and we strengthen Him with strength, deigned to march like the gospel, from there, from Christ, you received the retribution of labors all-blessed: God pray that save our souls.

Glory: The commander seemed to be the Head of the shepherd of Christ, the monks of the series, Father Gregory, instructing the heavenly fence, and from there you taught the flock of Christ by His commandment: now rejoice with them, and rejoice in heavenly blood.

Lord have mercy (12 times). Glory: And now:

The most honest Cherubim and the most glorious without comparison Seraphim, without the corruption of God the Word, who gave birth to the real Mother of God, we magnify You.

Thank you for every good deed of God.

Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, about Thy great good deeds on us who have been, glorifying Thee, we praise, bless, thank, sing and magnify Thy goodness, and slavishly with love we cry out to Thee: Our benefactor Savior, glory to Thee.

Your good deeds and gifts to the tuna, like a slave to indecent, having become worthy, Master, diligently flowing to You, we bring thanksgiving according to strength, and glorifying You as a Benefactor and Creator, we cry out: glory to You, God the All-Merciful.

Theotokos, Christian Helper, Thy intercession has been acquired by Thy servants, we cry out thankfully to Thee: Rejoice, Most Pure Theotokos Virgin, and always deliver us from all troubles with Thy prayers, One who soon intercedes.

Song of Praise, St. Ambrose, Ep. Mediolan

We praise God to you, we confess the Lord to you, all the earth magnifies to you the eternal Father. To you all the angels, to you the heavens and all the powers, to you the cherubim and seraphim with unceasing voices cry out: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of the majesty of your glory. To you the glorious apostolic face, to you a prophetic laudatory number, to you the bright martyr army praises, to you throughout the whole universe the Holy Church confesses, the Father of incomprehensible majesty, worshiped

Your true and only begotten Son, and Holy Comforter of the Spirit. You are the King of glory Christ, You are the ever-present Son of the Father: You, accepting man for deliverance, did not abhor the Virgin's womb. Having overcome the sting of death, you opened the Kingdom of Heaven to the believers. You sit at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father, Judges come and believe. We ask you: help your servants, whom you have redeemed with honest blood. Vouchsafe to reign with Your saints in Your eternal glory. Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Thy inheritance, I amend and exalt them forever: we will bless Thee all the days, and we will praise Thy name forever and ever. Grant, O Lord, on this day, without sin, be preserved for us. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us: be Thy mercy, Lord, on us, as if we put our trust in Thee: in Thee, Lord, let us put our trust in you forever. Amen.
