  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Now lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. Optionally, you can add 100 ml of water so that the liquid covers the zest.
  • Let the ginger lemonade cool. Now you have to squeeze as much juice from each half of the lemon and orange as possible. You can simply separate the pulp from the zest, discard the crusts, and squeeze out all the juices from the pulp with gauze.
  • The drink is filtered through gauze and a strainer so that the bones and pieces of ginger do not get into the finished drink.
  • And finally, the concentrate is poured into a carafe and diluted with cold sparkling water. It is better to choose water not mineral, but simply with gas, so as not to spoil the taste. Don't forget to add some ice and garnish the glass with a lemon wedge!

If you've made lemonade with store-bought syrup, you'll definitely love this recipe. The only difference is that you will need to prepare the syrup yourself in advance, but then the preparation of the drink will take literally 5 minutes.
